Description
Ready To Rock! Now you can add the same exact Upper grille with LED accent lighting that was featured as original equipment on the RTR Mustang to your very own late model muscle car. This Replacement grille was designed and developed with input from Vaughn Gittin Jr. to give your S550 Mustang an aggressive race inspired appearance that looks awesome on and off the race track. If you're looking for a way to set your Pony apart from the rest of the herd, this RTR grille is for you.
LED Accent Lighting. The RTR Upper grille is available with the very popular integrated LED Accent Lighting around the vent openings for an impressive head turning appearance. The LED Accent Lights simply plug directly into your Mustang's existing factory headlight harness with no cutting or splicing required. The LEDs are automatically activated in conjunction with your Day Time Running Lights, so they are always on when your Mustang is running. For those that would like the RTR Upper grille without the accent lighting, please see part# 389943.
High Powered SMD Technology. The halo rings included with this RTR Upper grille utilize SMD technology to produce a super bright white light while only consuming 1/10th of the power of standard incandescent bulbs. These LED accent lights are rated at 100,000 hours of continuous use.
Improves Cooling. Not only will this RTR grille add great aggressive styling to the front of your S550 Mustang, but will also help lower under hood temperatures. With decreased surface area, the RTR grille will allow for an increase in air flow across the radiator, when compared to the original factory grille. This additional air flow will help to improve engine cooling, which in turn will increase engine performance.
Quality Construction. RTR designed their Upper Replacement grille using the original OEM CAD data from Ford to ensure a perfect fit. Manufactured from an OEM quality high pressure injection molded thermal plastic olefin (TPO) material, this grille is extremely durable and can hold up against the elements and the hazards of everyday daily driving.
Straight Forward Installation. Designed to be a direct fit replacement for the original factory grille, this RTR Upper grille installs reusing the stock clips and mounting points. There is no cutting or modifications required for a clean straight forward installation. However, it should be noted that removal of the front fascia will be required for installation. Installation can be completed in about two hours with just basic hand tools.
Application. This RTR Upper grille with LED Accent Lighting is designed to fit 2015-2017 GT, EcoBoost and V6 Mustangs with the stock factory front fascia installed. It will not fit Shelby GT350 models.
Please Note. The RTR Lower grille is not included with this kit.
