It is recommended that you have an additional person available to help during this installation, parts can be awkward to hold and support by yourself. Block wheels and set parking brake before beginning work. Disconnect the Negative (-) battery cable.
Remove the (2) regular screw head, hose clamps on the stock, black air hose. Remove the upper air hose from the vehicle.
Remove the (4) 1/2” nuts from the throttle body.
Remove the throttle cable by pulling it away from the throttle body.
Unplug the rubber breather hose from the top of the throttle body. Unplug the electrical connector on the bottom of the idle air control valve.
Remove the THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR by unplugging the electrical connector . Place a rag under the throttle body to soak up coolant and carefully remove it from the vehicle.
Remove the EGR electrical connection, EGR vacuum line, (2) regular screwdriver hose clamps with coolant hoses and (2) 10mm throttle cable bracket bolts. (Coolant may still be in the hoses.)
Remove the (2) 9/16” EGR nuts from the Exhaust Gas Recirculator. Clean o the old gasket material from the EGR and place the EGR on the new spacer with a new gasket. Tighten the nuts on the new spacer using a 13mm and a 17mm socket.
Reinstall all of the components on the new EGR spacer. Use the included throttle body gasket and spacer/instake manifold gasket to install it back on the intake manifold. Reinstall the components to the throttle body and install it to the EGR spacer. Reinstall the upper air hose and plug in all electrical connectors. Reconnect the negative battery cable. Re-adjust the Engine Idle Speed.
Setting the Engine Idle Speed
1. Make sure ignition is turned OFF.
2. Disconnect the IAC connector.
3. Start engine and let the car warm up to operating temperature.
4. Turn the throttle plate stop screw counter-clockwise until idle is at ~650 rpm.Note:Modified engines may require a higher base idle rpm.
5. Turn off the engine and reconnect IAC connector.
