How to Install an SR Performance Black Cold Air Intake on Your 1999-2004 V6 Mustang

Step 1. Remove your factory intake, MAF sensor and IAT sensor from your vehicle. The IAT sensor and MAF sensor housing will need to be reused in the new intake assembly. 

Step 2. Install the new shroud in the vehicle by sliding it into the factory mounting holes and securing it using the factory point at the top. 

Step 3. Install the IAT sensor into the intake tube as shown. 

Step 4. Using the supplied coupler, fasten the intake tube to the throttle body. Leave it loose for adjustment.

Step 5. Install the factory MAF sensor and housing to the lower part of the intake tube using the supplied gasket and hardware. 

Step 6. Install the lower part of the intake tube onto the upper portion using the supplied coupler as show above and slide it into the shroud.

Step 7. Plug in the MAF sensor and IAT sensor using the factory wiring. 

Step 8. Install the vacuum line to the upper intake tube assembly. Located near the throttle body  

Step 9. From under the vehicle, install the filter onto the end of the tube.  

Step 10. Tighten down all fasteners and test the vehicle for any leaks or small adjustments that may need to be made before driving.
