Description
Improves Handling Performance. Improve your Mustang's handling performance by reinforcing your rear shock towers with a SR Performance rear shock tower brace. A SR rear shock tower brace will stiffen your Mustang's chassis to reduce suspension flex and improve traction for impressive corner carving handling.
Superior Construction. The SR Performance Mustang Rear Shock Tower Brace is made from heavy duty tubular steel to keep your rear end from flexing under g-load and is completed in a durable triple plated chrome finish for classic good looks and long lasting corrosion resistance.
Application. The SR Performance Rear Shock Tower Brace is designed to fit all 1979 to 2004 Mustangs, including the LX, V6, GT, Bullitt, Mach 1, and SVT Cobra models. Technical Notes. Some modifications and welding may be required for installation. 1979-1993 hatch back will require light trimming of factory inner quarter panel sight plugs over rear shocks. All other models will require trimming of factory inner trunk liner.

Great product
Perfect fit. Bought the chrome one because it was on sale. The way our car is set up you can't see it. Really seems to help. We are slowly adding things to get rid of body roll. Car is purpose built for drifting. Seems to have helped quite a bit.

Tourqe rod
This may seem as an easy install but you have to remove all trunk carpets,also I replaced the rear shocks at the same time. Easy. But the tower brace is about .5 in short so I had to bend brackets and cut rubbers on the top shock rubber to get the nut started on the shock. About 2hr install.

Body roll reduction
Not only does this look pretty in your trunk , combined with the front strut tower brace it will make hitting corners a breeze with a good reduction in body roll that you can feel.

Rear Shock Brace
I installed the chrome brace in the car with welding. Just using the bolts made the bar rattle against the shock towers. It seemed to make the car a bit stiffer but that could be just me.

A: Hi, This SR Performance Rear Shock Tower Brace will work with your Mach 1000 System it will be a tight fit but it will fit.
Q: Installing rear shock tower brace. Wil the brace have to be welded in. or can it be simply bolted on?
A: Just bolted on, that is what I did and it work perfectly
Q: how long does it measure ? bought one online and it was too short 42 7/8 !
A: This shock tower brace will be about 43" in length.
