1. Raise and support the front the vehicle using jack stands. Remove the wheels.
2. Remove the bolt connecting the spindle to the lower ball bolt. With the bolt removed, remove the spindle from the ball joint.
3. Remove the ball joint boot.
4. Using a ball point press, remove the factory ball joint. **Note: Major auto parts stores may rent the ball joint removal tool.
5. Once the factory ball joint is removed you can reinstall the new ball joint. Once pressed in, install the supplied C-clip, boot, and grease fitting.
6. Reinstall the spindle in reverse order. Torque all bolts to factory specs.
7. Grease the ball joint prior to driving the vehicle.
8. Reinstall the wheel and torque lug nuts to factory spec.
Install Note:
398125 - If used without the supplied spring spacer, the ride height will be lowered roughly 1/2”. If installed with the supplied spring spacer the vehicle side height will not change.
