How to Install SR Performance Cold Air Intake - Black on your Mustang

(1) Air Filter
(1) 2-piece Intake Pipe
(1) 3-Piece Heat Shroud/Air Box
(1) Reducing coupler w/ Clamps
(1) Straight Coupler w/Clamps
(2) Rubber strips
(5) Phillips Screws
(3) Bolts w/ Washers
(1) Long Bolt
(2) Short Bolts w/ nuts
(1) Bracket
(1) Grommet
(1) Snap Ring

Step 1:

A. Begin by removing the 10mm bolt that holds the factory air box to the fender.

B. Remove the Intake Air Sensor plug and wiring push clip that holds the harness to the air box.

C. Loosen the clamps on the turbo and the air box side of the intake tube.

D. Remove the bypass valve and PCV hoses. Remove Intake tube and air box.

Step 2:

Assemble the air box using the (3) small nuts and bolts included. **Note: If the bolts are a tight fit enlarging the holes slightly may be necessary.

Step 3:

Remove the fan shroud mounting bolt, install the air box behind that bolt.

Step 4:

Mount the air box to the factory location using the factory bolt. Install the supplied grommet in the hole circled below. slide the slotted bracket under the wiring harness push pin and mount the bracket to the air box supplied short bolt and nut.

Step 5:

Install the supplied rubber stripping.

Step 6:

Remove the intake air temperature sensor from the factory air box. Install the sensor into the SR intake pipe and secure the sensor with the supplied clip.

Step 7:

Install the coupler and filter to the intake tube. Then mount the intake tube to the air box using the long bolt and washer through the rubber grommet.

Step 8:

Reinstall the bypass valve, PCV valve, and tighten the clamps on the turbo.

Step 9:

Once all mounting bolts and clamps are tight, install the lid of the airbox. Use the (5) supplied phillips head screws.
