1. Remove the factory shift knob by spinning it counter clockwise.
2. Pry the top part of the center console off by opening the storage area at the back of the arm rest and pulling up. Be sure to unplug any electrical connections prior to removing fully.
3. Remove the rubber insulation and rubber boot from the factory shifter.
4. Jack the vehicle up and support on a jack stand to remove the shifter assembly mounting bracket.
5. Using a 10mm socket, remove the two bolts holding the bracket to the vehicle.
6. With the shifter assembly now lowered, remove the (4) 10mm bolts holding the shifter itself to the assembly.
7. Gently pull the shifter out of the vehicle through the passenger compartment.
8. Swap the plastic cup from your factory shifter over to the new shifter.
9. Install the new shifter into the vehicle by sliding it back onto the shifter assembly and bolding it down using the factory hardware.
10. Reinstall the mount under the vehicle by tightening the two nuts that were removed in step 5.
11. Reinstall all interior trim including the OEM rubber boot and sound deadening material in reverse order as it was removed from the vehicle found in steps 1-3.
