Sumitomo's HTR Z III. Are you looking for an excellent max performance summer tire at a friendly price? If so, the Sumitomo High Performance HTR Z III is your Tire. The aggressively designed HTR Z III delivers extraordinary performance in both wet or dry conditions, on and off the track.
Innovative Tread Design. The Sumitomo HTR Z III is the perfect summer performance tire for any Mustang. With an asymmetric 5-rib directional tread pattern, reinforced construction, and innovative traction features, the HTR Z III will provide uncompromised handling. Additional features include large outboard shoulders and intermediate tread blocks along with continuous center and inboard intermediate ribs to provide white-knuckle handling.
Summer Performance Compound. Sumitomo's HTR Z III Tires feature a unique compound that is specifically designed for track and performance applications. The silica-enhanced tread compound provides excellent dry traction making the HTR Z III the "go-fast" rubber your Mustang needs to stick to the track.
Excellent Wet Traction. Long lateral grooves of the HTR Z III evacuate water from the center of the footprint, where four straight, wide grooves further heighten drainage for improved wet performance. A 3-D wave wall increases drainage capabilities and reinforces center rib stability, while siped tie-bars reinforce block rigidity for control and enhance wet traction.
Smooth Ride; Minimal Noise. In addition to outstanding performance, HTR Z III Series Tires deliver a smooth ride with minimal road noise. That way you and your passengers can be treated to the sounds that really count, like the growl of your motor, the whine of your supercharger, or the bass thumping from your Mach 1000 stereo system!
Application. The Sumitomo High Performance HTR Z III Tire is designed for use on 1979-2024 Mustangs.Sold individually.
NOTE: These are ultra high performance summer specific compound and tread tires. Use during the summer and warm temperature months will result in superior traction over "all season" tires. Use during the winter months/cold temperatures significantly reduces traction and increases stopping distance as the compound becomes less sticky.
