The 30 spline pinion and 8.8" ring gear diameter create a more efficient energy transfer from the engine to wheels for top performance.

      Benefits of Re-Gearing. Re-gearing means merely changing the gear size. The Ring Gear and Pinion determine how many times your Mustang GT turns the wheels per second. The change from OEM gear settings to a 4.88 gear ratio with 10 Ring Gear bolts allows the engine to turn the wheels more times per second using the same amount of power - leaving more power for acceleration.

      Superior 8520 Steel. The USA Standard Gear and Pinion Set - 4..88 Gears is made from superior 8520 stainless steel alloy so you can depend on superior performance for many miles of fast driving.

      Difficult Installation. Gears and Pinions are difficult to install requiring mechanical expertise. Tools not commonly found in home garages may be needed. Professional installation is recommended.
