However, standard Fuel Management Units come with a pre-set static rate of gain that may not be ideal for your application, requiring additional fine-tuning to get the most out of your Camaro’s fuel system. For this reason, Vortech offers its Fuel Management unit Air Bleed Regulator. This compact brass bleeder-valve mounts to the FMU inline with the boost reference from your Camaro’s forced induction system, allowing up to one point of gain to be bled from the boost reference to fine-tune the amount of fuel added in proportion to boost. For example, a pre-set rate of gain of 8:1 can be bled down to 7:1 or anywhere in between.
