Prevent Damage to Your Turbo. Forced induction systems operate by pushing a large volume of high-velocity air into your intake manifold during boost. However, when you lay off the throttle, this could create excessive back-pressure in your turbocharger. This back-pressure results in excess trapped air reversing course, sending turbulent gusts through the supercharger compressor or turbocharger, leading to dangerous conditions such as heat soak and compressor surge. The Vortech Camaro Standard Compact Bypass Valve solves this problem by providing an escape route for excess pressure to safely vent the system before it can cause damage. As atmospheric pressure drops when your throttle closes, engine vacuum forces your bypass valve to vent air out of the intake tract and safely recirculate through the compressor. 

Efficiently Recirculate Air. Unlike blow-off valves that vent air back into the atmosphere, bypass valves recirculate that air through your intake. As a result, a bypass valve could be quieter and even relieve some tuning issues stemming from improper air/fuel ratios due to unmetered air changes during venting. 

Ideal for Stock Engine Setups. This bypass valve is ideal for boosted engines that run at psi ranges between 6-12psig. This bypass valve is recommended for reasonably mild/stock-motor Camaros.

Application. The Camaro Standard Compact Bypass Valve is compatible with all 2016-2024 Chevrolet Camaro models equipped with a forced induction system, though some adaptation may be required.
