Vortech Standard Fuel Management Unit Recalibration Kit; 7:1 Ratio

Installing A Vortech FMU. Vortech Fuel Management Systems are engineered for use on forced-induction equipped vehicles, designed to increase fuel delivery rate in proportion to boost. This secondary fuel regulator mounts in line with the primary fuel regulator on the return line to the fuel tank, increasing fuel delivery under high-boost scenarios to protect your Mustang’s engine from running lean. An overly lean condition results from not enough fuel being injected into the cylinder, resulting in harmful pre-detonation and excessive temperatures. Vortech’s FMU ensures safe operating conditions and a proper air/fuel ratio for reliability and efficiency and if fully upgradeable with Vortech’s Standard Fuel Management Unit Recalibration Kit.  

Recalibrate Fuel Gain Rate. Suppose you ordered and installed your Vortech FMU, but the rate of gain isn’t quite suitable for your application. Or perhaps you upgraded the fuel injectors in your Mustang, and now your engine is running rich. Don’t fear; instead of ordering an entirely new FMU in a different specification, Vortech offers Standard Fuel Management Unit Recalibration Kits to alter the rate of gain to a ratio that works best with your system. 

7:1 Ratio. This Standard Fuel Management Unit Recalibration Kit features a 7:1 rate of gain, designed for applications with high boost and mildly updated fuel injectors. 

Includes Everything Necessary For Recalibration. This product contains everything needed to properly recalibrate your Mustang’s FMU, including a calibration ring, washer, replacement upper diaphragm, and thorough instructions.
