A Stiffer Mustang. The Fox-Body Mustang was produced in various forms for over 15 years. In that time, it provided a great deal of fun for a great number of drivers. However, it was never known for its chassis stiffness and integrity. If you're doing a build on a Fox-body these days, your first step should be to stiffen up that flexible-flyer chassis. These BMR Tubular Subframe Connectors are a great place to start. They connect the front subframe to the rear, providing a measure of stiffness hotrodders never dreamt of back in the day. Get that extra power to the ground with the help of BMR.
Towers of Strength. BMR starts with thick-wall 1-5/8" diameter steel tubing. It's laser-cut, CNC-machined, and TIG-welded to the thick 3/16" mounting plates. The assembly is then covered in a hot-looking hammercoat finish. These weld-in connectors fit closely enough to your chassis to prevent scraping and clearance issues, even if you've dropped your suspension by an inch or two. The effect is transformational. Whether you roll an original Fox, an SN95, or a New Edge Mustang, you need the stiff platform these connectors provide for your upgraded power.
Welding Required. This is not a bolt-on kit. Some welding is required. You'll also need a lift and a good selection of tools. Give yourself about four hours to get the job done. A Mustang that feels like a brand-new car is waiting for you at the end.
Application. These Hammertone BMR Tubular Subframe Connectors are designed for use on 1979-2004 Mustang Coupes.
