Better Than My Dealership
Last August my drive shaft went out. My local Didge dealership supposedly scoured the country foe a drives haft for my Challenger and couldn't find one. They found a used one in a junkyard almost 3 months later! It never felt right. I get this magazine every month, and for under $600 I was able to get a brand new one. Funny hownrhe dealership never checked the American Muscle magazine. My dealership did install the new one for free so that was good. It rides like new now!

Driveshaft is great quality and upgraded from OEM so you can split the driveshaft and just replace rubber hangar mount if needed. Install was easy and better than the day it was built.

Ordered, delivered, installed.
Zero problems with this replacement part on reinstall. Had a harder time fighting the exhaust hangers above the rear differential than putting this shaft in. This is a breeze to remove and replace do not be afraid to tackle it yourself. Stock exhaust unbolts and comes down quick, when you are loosening and tightening the driveshaft couplers, use the lever on the transmission to rotate the shaft for easy access to the bolts. It is in the drivers side in the middle, push up about an inch or less.

Not exactly what I was expecting
Just to be honest, this is a Dorman driveshaft that can be had from most local auto part stores. The quality is decent, it is about 15 to 20 lbs lighter than the stock 2 piece unit. The one I received had a ton of balance weights on it and it seems I feel a new and different type of vibration than before. I suspect the shaft is not balance quite right. It is smoother and quieter under conditions when the old 2 piece shaft would clunk. If you choose this driveshaft you may find it quicker and cheaper from a local supplier that can get Dorman. Personally I would spend more and get the aluminum driveshaft if I had a do over. Unfortunately, I blew up my clutch and decided to get this lower priced steel shaft along with my McLeod aluminum flywheel and clutch set, all combined $1780.00. If I would have only been upgrading the driveshaft, would have went another route. All in all, not disappointed.
