Install A Vortech Race Bypass/Blow-Off Valve. A bypass/blow-off valve is an integral component to the longevity of your Challenger's forced induction system and engine, venting excessive, turbulent boost pressure trapped in the system. Due to a snap-closed or erratically moved throttle, high-velocity charged air builds up in the system. This air has no choice but to force its way through the turbocharger/supercharger compressor and intercooler/piping, leading to compressor surge, blown intercoolers, or torn couplers. A bypass/blow-off valve takes care of dangerous air surges, venting them from the system before damage can be done and protecting valuable forced induction components. This Vortech Race Bypass/Blow-Off Valve Weld-On Mounting Flange takes some of the hassles from mounting a bypass valve, providing a laser-cut mounting pedestal to be welded into the intake tract. 

Requires Fabrication and Proper Positioning. This mounting flange requires additional fabrication and must be welded between the compressor and the throttle body. This position allows the valve to vent pressure in the portion of the intake tract after the compressor and intercooler, stopping it from reversing flow through the forced induction system after bouncing off of the closed throttle body.
