Aftermarket Gaskets & Seals

Aftermarket Gaskets & Seals

Engine Gaskets

Arguably the most important part of your muscle car to seal, engine gaskets are essential to ensure that valves, cylinder heads, and other fast-moving parts remain air- and watertight. Engine gaskets refer to cylinder head gaskets, oil pan gaskets, rear main seals, and valve cover gaskets. It's also important to keep seals in mind as well, especially rear main seals that seal the back of the crankshaft to the engine.

Most OEM gaskets are fine for your average muscle car, but once you start adding forced induction systems to your V6 or V8 engine, the OEM gaskets might not cut it anymore. In these cases, you'll need high-performance gaskets for your cylinder heads, valve covers, and timing covers. Otherwise, let's just say that things will start breaking down rapidly and you may experience oil leaks, pressure changes, and overheating.

Intake and Exhaust Gaskets

Intake and exhaust gaskets refer to gaskets and seals that keep your intake and exhaust systems airtight. You have header gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, exhaust gaskets, and even throttle body gaskets. If any of these OEM gaskets start to leak, you'll notice a decline in performance, a rough idle, or even smell a nasty exhaust leak.

Fortunately, aftermarket gasket options are available if you plan on upgrading your intake and exhaust systems. You can also find plenty of OEM gasket replacement options if you want to keep things stock but have to patch up an exhaust or intake leak. Still, if you plan on adding any bolt-ons at all it's a good idea to look for high-performance gaskets that can handle the increase in power without literally folding under pressure.

Fluid and Component Gaskets

You can't forget about fluid and component muscle car gaskets. These gaskets seal your engine’s supporting cast, so things like the water pump, transmission, differential, and parts of your fuel system. Most OEM gaskets in this area are fine if you’re keeping things stock, but if you plan on running rich racing fuel through your engine, you'll want to support your fuel system with racing gaskets that are up to the task.

For these reasons, it's a good idea to consider upgrading to aftermarket gaskets for things like your water pump and o-rings to ensure that you can keep your engine cool and not leak oil the second you put the pedal to the floor. Whether you need the best aftermarket gaskets for your high-power build, or you just need OEM muscle car gaskets, our sales techs are ready and waiting to help you find the perfect gaskets for your build.
