What started out as a request for some wheels, a hood, and some tail lights quickly turned into a full-on project that was unveiled at AM2016. Make-A-Wish® child and Mustang enthusiast Austin wanted to customize his 2005 V6 with a handful of parts, but once Make-A-Wish® reached out to us, plans for Austin’s car quickly ramped up into an exciting build that would be tailored to Austin’s tastes. In just a few short weeks, AmericanMuscle transformed Austin’s 2005 Mustang into a modded masterpiece.
Before Austin’s Mustang came to AmericanMuscle, it was a clean stock example of a 2005 V6, with not a lot going on in the mod department. Knowing that Austin likes a Mustang with “some shine” and some rumble to it, we started piecing together a build that would turn heads wherever it went while also giving it some bite to increase its performance. The whole car was repainted Tuxedo Black—a factory Ford color—and given the royal treatment in exterior upgrades. A Cervini’s Ram Air Hood, MMD Quarter Window Louvers, Raxiom Gen5 Tail Lights, RTR Tech 7 wheels, along with a laundry list of other parts helped to create a sleek and sinister appearance, which was perfectly complimented with an Air Lift Performance Suspension setup. A Bama Tune, C&L Cold Air Intake, Borla Exhaust System, Power Stop Brakes and a mix of other mods helped to give Austin’s Mustang some more potent performance. The build came together seamlessly and we were left with an absolutely stunning ‘Stang that needed to be reunited with its owner.
Austin’s Mustang was kept in the heart of the show hidden under a cover until the grand reveal. Show attendees gathered in closely around the car, waiting for the cover to be removed, with Austin front and center eagerly awaiting to see his freshly upgraded Mustang. As soon as the cover was taken off, his face immediately lit up, unable to contain his excitement. Austin looked over the car from bumper to bumper with a large smile sprawled across his face, as he kept repeating “wow” at every little detail and mod he noticed. The build and the reveal could not have gone any better and we would like to thank Austin for allowing us to be a part of this build and wish him the best with his newly modified Mustang.
