Understanding Cold Air Intakes

Every muscle car comes with some type of air intake from the factory, but usually, car engine. Most factory muscle cars still perform well with OEM parts, so there's no shame in grabbing replacement filters and being on your way, but if you’re driving a muscle car why not let it flex its muscles a little?

 

This is where cold air intakes come into play. These intake systems allow more cold air to enter the engine due to sourcing air from a cooler location. Depending on your muscle car, cold air intakes may go in the wheel well or you may find them on top of the engine tucked off to the side or close to hood vents/scoops.
