How to Install Modern Billet Retro 6-Speed Shift Knob w/ Tri-Bar Logo - Satin on a 14-17 Mustang GT

Removal:

1. Before proceeding to removal, make sure that the hand brake is engaged during procedure. It’s best to chock the tires to prevent the vehicle to move.

2. Start by turning the stock shift knob counterclockwise and remove from shifter.

3. Once removed, clean threads to remove any dirt or any kind of residue in the shift knob.

4. Insert the shift knob retainer turning it clockwise until it stops all the way down the shifter handle.

5. Install the shift knob turning it clockwise until it stops, DO NOT TIGHT IT, then return it turning it counterclockwise until a desired position is obtained.

6. With a 15mm wrench, turn the retainer counterclockwise to tight it against the shift knob. 

7. Enjoy the great looks and feel this Retro shift knob gives!
