How to Install MMD ABS Rear Window Louvers on 2015-2016 Mustangs

Supplies in box:

 2 Alcohol prep wipes

 2 3M Adhesion Promoter wipes

 9 Adhesive mounts

 3 fl oz. Clear Super Silicone Sealant

Installation Procedure:

1. Thoroughly clean the rear window to ensure a clean and strong adhesion. 

2. Remove adhesion mounts from packaging and fasten to the rear window louver. This is done to ensure all adhesion strips are lined correctly when mounting the louver to the window.

3. Place louver on rear windshield to understand where the adhesion strips will lie. Placement is needed for step 5 later.

4. Remove lover from windshield and peel off plastic from the adhesion strips, and wipe all the strips with one alcohol prep wipe. 

5. With the knowledge gained from step 3, identify the 9 points on the rear windshield where the adhesion strips will attach. Wipe these 9 points on the windshield with the 2nd alcohol prep wipe, followed by the 3M Adhesion Promoter wipe

6. With two people, carefully place the louver onto the windshield with adhesion strips still screwed in. This will set the adhesion strips in place for following steps 

7. Unscrew all 9 nuts from the louver, and remove louver from the windshield while keeping the mounting strips attached to the rear windshield.

8. Firmly press all the adhesive strips onto the windshield to ensure a complete contact has been made.

9. Remove the Clear Super Silicone Sealant from its packaging. Screw on tip to bottle, and cut opening at the end

10. Apply the Clear Super Silicone Sealant around each of the adhesive strips on the rear windshield 

11. Allow the Silicone Sealant to cure for about 24 hours. Do not mount the window louver yet. 

12. Once you've allowed a full day to pass for the adhesion strips to fully cure and set in, you can now mount the window louver, and screw all the 9 nuts to a secure fit.
